A transformation plan needs a behavior, a system that makes it possible, and a review that can change the plan. Choose a limited planning horizon instead of promising a complete reinvention by an arbitrary date.

A worked situation: One sample and one conversation
Fictional example. A reader wants to change careers while working full time. Her four-week plan produces one portfolio sample and one informational conversation, rather than assuming she can quit immediately.
Review the four-week plan without a rescue week
Use each weekly review to compare the planned input with what actually happened. Adjust dependencies or support before expanding the workload. If the desired result did not occur, do not rewrite the plan as though the input guaranteed it. Keep one feasible next step and one review decision; a plan that requires a heroic final week needs revision.
