Use this worksheet to examine one possible success and what would change if it happened. Name a genuine cost, a negotiable condition, and a feasible information step before assigning the problem to fear alone.

Question or fieldFictional completed example
Possible success?Large order
New demand?More production hours
Real limit?Current capacity
Negotiable condition?Staged delivery
Information step?Ask about flexible dates

A worked situation: Large order

Fictional example. A maker may win a large order but lacks production capacity. Asking about delivery flexibility addresses a real tradeoff; accepting an impossible deadline would not demonstrate courage.

Turn the feared success into a terms question

Write the actual opportunity and the new demand you expect. Mark each demand confirmed, assumed, or unknown. Then ask what can be negotiated or clarified before deciding. The worksheet does not establish an unconscious fear of success; it makes the ordinary tradeoff visible without promising that every opportunity should be accepted.
